Authors Guidelines

Dear Authors,

Indian Journal of Social Work Education and Practice (IJSWEP) encourages theoretical and empirical research papers, articles, cases studies,book review from academicians, Research Schlors,and Practitioners. In addition, the journal invites manuscripts based on theoretical/empirical research and experience should satisfy good quality research and must reflect the practical applicability/policy implications of the research.

General guidelines

The following guidelines need to be taken into account.

Paper Submission

Authors will be required to submit, MS-Word compatible (.doc, .docx), papers electronically after logging in at our portal and accessing the submit a paper link, available at Online Submission. Once the paper is uploaded successfully, our automated Paper Submission System assigns a Unique Paper ID, acknowledges it on the screen, and also sends an acknowledgment email to the author at her/his registered email ID. The authors must quote /refer to the paper ID in all future correspondences.

Paper Format and Page Layout

  • Format: MS-Word (.doc, .docx)
  • Language: English only
  • Length: From 4000 to 8000 words
  • Column: Double column
  • Spacing: Single-line spacing
  • Font Size: 12, Font Type: Times New Roman)
  • Margin: Top 1.52 cm”, Bottom 1.27 cm”, Left 2.03 cm”, and Right 2.03cm”
  • Page layout: Portrait with 0.5 Header and Footer margins
  • Submission: Online

PLAGIARISM POLICY

Indian Journal of Social Work Education and Practice will not consider any kind of plagiarism in the publication. Plagiarism is an illegal and punishable offense. At any stage if we find plagiarism in the manuscript, we immediately inform the author and asked for further revision if required otherwise the submitted manuscript is rejected accordingly.

How to handle plagiarism:

  • The submitted manuscript undergoes the plagiarism check through the software, and if the plagiarism is above 10%, the decision of revision is sent to the author immediately.
  • If plagiarism is less than 10%, the manuscript is assigned with a paper id and forwarded to the reviewer for further process.
  • We conduct a final plagiarism check prior to publishing to ensure the standard and quality of the manuscript. If we identify plagiarism at this point, the work will be sent back to the author for revisions
